it should run in the low 14s with a good driver, and the cheapest power added would be nitrous

Autos are likely going to be in the 14.2-14.5 range depending on weather/location.

5-spds can see 14 flats, but expect more in the 14.2 range, with bad drivers seeing mid to high 14's.

Our motors don't pick up great horsepower with minor bolt ons, but considering the size of the engine, with full bolt ons and a good set of DR's and a good launch, our cars can touch 13 flats.

However, if you want to know what's cheap horsepower, you're driving the wrong car.

Full bolt ons will run a few grand, nitrous with a tune/install is in the 1K range, and blowers with supporting mods are in the 3500-5K range.

Most of us will likely do exhaust and a small bolt on or two and call it good.
Mid 13's at 102-104 is respectable to say the least.

change the gears to 3.73 manual 4.10 auto no horsepower gain but faster acceleration. for faster 1/4 mile and 0-60 time. also a xpipe either o/r x pipe or one with high flow cats. then get a sct tuner. your car comes stock with 260 hp this sould put you close to 285hp.

definetely start with your exhaust. A nice midpipe of your choice and a catback is what you want. don't waste your time with headers. i dont recomend a cold air intake. for the $ the gains just arent there. take out the air silencer boot and throw in a K&N cone air filter. you could add a bigger throttle body and plenum for better throttle response but don't expect big gains. Gears are great for that thrown back in your seat feeling and your car will feel like it has 50hp more.

with exhaust, minor intake mods, and tune you can expect around 300 crank hp.

thisll sound like a dick thing to say, but a good driver mod

i honestly dont see how guys are running anything more then a 14.00 with these stock(5 speed ofcourse), mines bone stock and my ****ty runs are usually 14.0-14.1, with the car seeing a best(3 or 4 times, differant nights, same track) of 13.7

and for cheap power, spray is good... and the gears thing is also one of the first mods done

and its o/t but dtkikols how are those 90/10s? im thinking about getting some. like as far as a daily, are they as bad as everyone says?

no, they are not bad at all. they will not cause you to loose control on the highway if you hit a bump, if anything it makes the bump feel softer. when you go to overtake someone the front will lift slightly but its nothing crazy.

i mean my fox has 4banger springs, no sway bar and strange 10 ways always left as loose as possible, and skinnies... i daily drove this... id imagine 90/10s wouldnt be as "dangerous" as my fox
