This article might help with the hp issue, although is not an equal length shorty being tested or even a 4.6L but, it's still interesting and you can see the difference. I want headers too, and everyone i talked to said don't waste your money on shortys, but i already bought a Pro-Chamber to bolt on the manifold, and judging by the article i am not really missing out on much, although i am not looking to squeeze every hp i can out. Now it would be a different story if i was supercharging it

theres a big article in one of the mustang magazines i forget which one of the 2 i saw it in but theres a 3 page article how they tested out BBK short tube headers and down low they lost up to 12 HP but up top in the rpm's they gained about 12. they said they were worth the 400 bucks but i don't see how when you lose that much power down low. check out wither this months or last months. i was to thinking about getting headers and checked out the magazine at autozone so i don't have it on me.

I know this might sound like a really stupid question but here it goes anyways... I was looking at a Jegs magazine today and I was looking at some BBK long-tubes for my 98 GT. But at the bottom it said for manual transmissions only. This sucks because I have an automatic and I wanted long-tubes. I know this may sound really stupid but do they not make long-tubes for automatic 98 GTs? Help!!!

yeah i think bassani is one of the only companies. i think there is another company maybe SLP but they will be expensive for LT's for an auto. thats the reason why i got the off road x and left the stock manifolds and maybe one day decide to change out the headers.
