Default Rotors and Calipers

Does anyone know if the GT rotors and calipers are BETTER than the ones for a 6 cyl? Will the 04 GT ones fit my 00 6cyl?????????

yes they're different and they're probably just marginally better. you should just upgrade to either the mach 1 or cobra brakes

Cobras/machs/bullitts are the only cars with better braking systems in the front, rears are the same throughout. Replacement rotors will offer the greatest street performance. Everything else is pretty much for show. Theres no use in upgrading leverage (rotor size) without upgrading clamping force (calipers). Most sites sell cobra/mach/bullitt upgrade kits for reletively cheap.

But yes they will fit...

My dad upgraded his gt and is giving his stuff(calipers and rotors) for free. Thats the only reason I asked. I wanted to see if the gt stuff is better or bigger than my 6 cyl stuff. The price is right hahaha

Machs, Cobras, and Bullitts have slightlylarger rotors in the rear than GT and V6ers.
