There was an article posted on another thread from a 5.0 magazine testing the '99 when it came out. The first thing they did was yank the filter and put a K&N filter on it. Not the whole kit just the filter. It dynoed 5 hp higher. That's just the filter. I'm sure the whole shebang doesn't buy you much more than that, but it has to help. As Josh said, the stock is very restrictive. Cheap mod if you ask me.

i have a K&N. didn't give me any noticable gains. i don't see how some people, not all, just some can claim they feel a difference when they put in just an intake.
apparently it made my exhaust and car sound better on the outside when i floor it. according to mr Acer anyway.

exactly. i never noticed any gains. i mean i am sure they are there but i never noticed them.
