Clutch Problems.....

Clutch Problems.....
Alright, my clutch is squeaking.
It only squeaks when pushing the clutch in and out, and it does it throughout the travel of the pedal. I know its not a TOB because it does it with the car on and off, and it's a totally different sound. This sounds like something is dry.
The sound is definatly coming from under the car on the drivers side, right around where the dust cover is for the clutch fork.
The pedal feels.....kinda notchy I guess you would say, not very smooth. I have been having some troubles with the clutch feeling not so smooth lately and havent really been able to pinpoint the problem, but it has gotten worse and now I have this "squeak".
I'm going to go out tomorrow and jack it up and pull off the cover to see if there is anything that I can grease or try to pinpoint where exactly this noise is coming from.
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated......thanks. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to be thorough.

RE: Clutch Problems.....
If your car still has the stock clutch in it, i'm amazed it's lasted this long being that your car is a 99'. Now would be the perfect time for an upgrade. If you're starting to feel something, then chances are something not right. Spec Stage I or II would be a good upgrade. Centerforce also makes a good clutch. You def want to do something soon because you'd hate to be out somewhere and something major go wrong with it (not trying to jinx you).

RE: Clutch Problems.....
Yea, thats kind of the answer that I was fearing. As far as I know the clutch is stock, the car has 93,xxx miles on it. I bought it from a dealership so I have no real history on the car, besides carfax. The car had been taken care of though.
I've been wanting to step up to a Spec stage 2 anyways so maybe this will be a good time, like you said. It just sucks cause I've been laid off for 4 months now [:@] and money is pretty tight. I guess that's why they make 30% intrest credit cards......[&o]
