Default Clutch

I was driving to work the other day when I went to shift and the clutch started screeching the loudest, most annoying noise you have ever heard. It continually got worse, so I had to drive it straight to the shop. I just found out it is going to cost me $700 to have a new clutch and bearings installed! Just wanted to vent!
