A buddy of mine has a bolt on 06 GT and said that he ordered a livernios stroker kit and a set of cams. He says the combo of the 298 ci stroker, the cams, and a mild porting job on the heads, all tied together with a nice dyno tune should net him 400-425 whp. Now I know that the 3vs are really mod friendly but I really don't think that a 17 ci bump in displacement and a set of cams and a tune will net him over 100 whp. Right now he has a full exhaust, CAI, tuner, and some suspension mods, and similarly set up stangs have put down 300-315 whp and has run a best of 12.8 at 10X with a 2.0 60' time. He thinks he will be running mid 11s, but I'm thinking more like low 12s on a DR. To be completely honest I really don't know what kind of power the 3v can achieve with these mods so if anybody has firsthand experience can you help me out so I can talk to him.

i believe he could be close to 400 horses, a 3v motor is a whole different beast compared to our crappy 2vs. i believe the jdm saleen runs mid 11s all motor with close to the same combo you noted above. 3v heads can be ported close to the same numbers as a full ported 4v head which would easily net 100 horses.

I think that the main purpose of the kit is to upgrade to forged pistons and rods, and a stronger crank. I tell him a nice 100 shot of nitrous will make the thing a beast at the track and still streetable.
