I need a new belt.
well, as i was doing my procharger oil change with a buddy at a gas station, we noticed the belt is ready tobe changed... the gas station i was at wouldnt touch it because the supercharger is practically touching the belt. do i have to go back to the place that installed the procharger so they can move it back and change the belt or is there a easier explanation?

my vortech is the same way. The way I change mine is difficult, but looks to be the only way to do it. first, put a bar on the tensioner and pry it over to get the belt off and loose. then loosen the supercharger bracket bolts (don't remove, just loosen) in order to move the supercharger forward enough to get the belt out. After the belt is replaced, just tighten the bracket bolts back down and pry the tensioner back over and slip the belt back into place. I hope this works for you, but then again mine is a vortech and yours is procharger. good luck!!!

I just replaced my belt about a month ago. You can do it yourself, but you have to take the supercharger off. First loosen the belt by pulling down the tensioner with a 3/8 inch ratchet and pull the belt off the waterpump pulley. There is an allen head bolt that goes through the idler pulley on the right hand side of the supercharger and two bolts on the bracket on the left hand side. Take them out and the unit will then right off.Watch for washers and make sure you put them back in the same place because the supercharger pulley won't line up correctly if you don't. I thought the hardest part was holding the tensioner down and putting the new belt back on the waterpump. It kept falling off the other pulleys before I could get it on.
