I have a 01 GT with a Mac CAI, and have been reading magazines and they have been talking about the Maf Sensor what is it and since my engine is stock would it benefit me in Horsepower and Torque? And if so what size should I go with on my MAC Air intake System? This car is a daily Driver!!!

you MaF is a mass airflow sensor, dont know a whole lot about them but, it tell your cpu how much air is being inducted through the air intake.

A Mass Airflow Sensor reads the amount of air entering the engine and the ecu sends that info to the injectors and they dump the right amount of fuel and for cylinder ignition for max efficiency.

Here is a link that will tell you all you need to know abouf MAF.

You would be better off getting the rest of the boltons first. After you get LTs, a mid pipe, aftercat, then you can start thinking about a MAF. I would recommend doing the entire intake tract at the same time (a MAF, intake pipe, t/b, and upper plenum) and getting the car dyno tuned right after you do it. The MAF can throw off the A/F pretty bad and acutally cost you power until you get it tuned.
