Default Front Bumper

How much do you think it would cost just to get my front bumper re-painted to match my car? There is a big *** freakin crack in it from some dumbass hitting a telephone pole coming out of the dealership the day he bought it 8 years ago. What's a good estimate for them to paint it black, and match my car.

If it has a big crack in it, wouldn't it need to be replaced? You can't just paint over a crack.

Yeah. I suppose. There are so many freakin bumpers out there. Anyone know any good place to shop for bumpers that fit stock fog lights?

Very true. Actually, i've never been to a junkyard.. how does it work there usually? I am actually looking for some random misc parts such as a headlight ****, trunk mat, etc.. you think I can get those for really cheap?

LOl I haven't as well. But my cousin has. Appearantly at least for the one in his area, you just pay a buck to go in and do whatever you want. But once you find something, the redneck will stop you before you leave and name a price right off the bat for it.

Boneyards FTW! Not many mustang parts around here but I use them a lot for my G'body cars all the time. Just make sure to bargain with them, normally I can get stuff for half of their asking price.

I would guess the paint would be $100-$300 from a shop. I bought a newbumper off ebay for about $110 shipped from one of those car parts sellers and the quality looked decent. It was made in taiwan or something but was capa certified and the guy doing my bodywork said it would work fine.

Yes, If you look on Ebay, there is a company that will sell you the bumper and paint it to factory specs before shipping. You might want to try that.

Fortunately, here in Jacksonville Florida, we just happen to have a place called "Rusty Acres", that is mainly a hugesalvage yard for Fords. They are pretty cool and easy to deal with, and if you have something to get rid of, they will deal with "trade ins" too. I just got a rear deck lid (trunk lid), in exchange for a rear bumper that I was going to have to throw away, for lack of storage room.

If you get desperate, depending on your location, give Rusty Acres a call. They might already have your same color bumper in stock. (I am not affiliated with them, just trying to help.)
