I can take down 03 cobras (from a dig only) with my NA GT with full suspension, exhaust, drag radials and tune. There not hard to beat if you can get off the line faster. After that just add a blower and you will take down just about anything.

imo your never going to get 500 hp on a stock shortblock but if what you really want to do is beat (stock) 03 cobras you ll need full boltons ***** out suspension ,built rear end,awesome tires,and to be safe heads n cams,and a great tune.if you want more power some nitrous would help.but then you would be drifting away from a daily driver to a track rat.if you got 8gz i would buy a blower,and do some suspension work with a very good/safe tune.
