I have a 2001 mustang gt and the Abs light has been on for a while but i have not had any prolbems so i have waited until now to fix it. I have searched and read a lot of posts on this problem but im not very familliar with mustangs so i want to know where exactly the wheel speed sensor is, is it recessed or obvious and how do i test it? is there one on each wheel? If i fixed the problem would the Abs light reset itself?

Try unplugging the battery for 10 min. It might reset if nothing is wrong.

When the problem first started the light would come on intermittently, but now is staying on. About 2 weeks ago i had the battery out for about a half hour doing other work and right after i started it the light came back on so i dont think it would do anything.

the light could be on for many reasons. have a shop pull the codes, that way you can fix it right the first time without throwing parts at it.
