I find it interesting that alot of people on here just agree with whoever,or they dont have the mechanical ability to figure out the easiest and best way. When I do this,im gonna time it and take pics, but they will still say it cant be done......

I am wanting to install headers myself, that would be great if you took the time to take some pics while you work of your install (not dropping the k-member) for the rest of us who have not done this yet.

it sounds like you are implying that jacking the engine over is a cheap short cut and that the correct way is to remove the k member. well its not, i dont have leaks and im sure many other people that have just tilted the engine also dont have leaks. also, if you read the instructions for installing lt, such as bbk, mac, bassani, ect. they also say to tilt the engine, not remove the k member. if you search though mm&ff old tech articles, they installed lt on a cobra, on car lift. they also tilted the engine. so i would say to you , if you want to wasted time installing lt and throw off your cars alignment off, drop the k member.

HA the instructions say that because they want you to think the job isn't as bad as it really is. Jacking the motor up is the EASIEST route. I would much rather take my time. It is not hard at all to take off the k member. Take whatever route you please.
