400rwhp goal - $4k to spend
I realize there is a sticky about the M112 vs M90 vs KB....etc etc. but I don't want to cloud it up with my personal situation.
I've got $4k to spend. My goal is 400rwhp. The end. I don't plan on forging the engine in the future and I don't want to stress the internals. For a 2v motor....425rwhp is the top range to consider
What are the options? The tork tech setup (upgrade to m112) is $3400 without the heat exchanger (which I already have) and the 42lb fuel injectors ($325). I've already got the svt fuel pump.....but after tuning, dyno and install it would get up to around $5k for 385-400rwhp

Kenne bell blowers that I have seen will exceed the dollar threshold I have after install and tuning (unless I'm mistaken). They also might not make the 400 right off the bat considering the budget I have.
The chicane intercooler adds 30rwhp ($1600 installed) and the tork tech intake portion (Cobra TB, plenum, filter, etc for $1100) adds 25-40rwhp. Figure 1000 for install and dyno time and $325 for injectors So I think that would be around $4k on the nose and would hit close to 400rwhp. I'm at 340rwhp right now and already have an M90.
Are there any other options available that I haven't considered? Which way would you go?
I guess I could sell the series II M90 and go with tork tech....but I don't know how much I'd get for it and whether it would be worth it. Anyone interested in it? lol.

You mean this?

I guess I should clarify...i want to stick with a roots or twin screw type rather than a centri blower. I like the down low torque.

well somebody did it... made the manifold. However their price is kinda high, I mean its not bad, but if you want to buy just the manifold its 2k... lol With that in mind you better off with an mph kit, or gettin a kb or whipple

I'd agree with those above, search hard for a used KB kit if you need to have a lot of low end. Personally, if you get the MPH Mongoose kit you'll be thrilled with the power you get for the money. It may not be the best down low, but it's still a blast to drive.
