Question Traction control indication

hello all!

I bought a couple of weeks ago a 2000 GT.
It has traction control, and it is working. I get the indication in the dash when the wheels spin, and the engine bogs down, but I don't have an indication if it's switched on or off ... no light on the switch, or on the Dash ...

Anyone know what's missing?

10x,

Yakir

well the light may have burned out, or a bad connection to it. It obviously works, however try pushing the button and see if it will turn off, go do a burnout and see if it keeps you from doing it. I would say take it apart and check for voltage going to the light

Only problem is I can't find where the light is supposed to be ... In the switch? there is no light there ... On the Dash??

I had a 2000 GT and it didn't have TC, so I'm wondering if it's really a 2000 that you have. I always thought they started putting it on in 01' but I may be wrong.

Well, the title says 2000 ...
And it does have traction control ...
If I could only find where the light is supposed to be, I would start from there.
Maybe I will start with taking the button apart, maybe it's not the original one, and the original had a light in it, like the new ones do.

the light should be above the words on the switch. you know how it has the rectangular button behind your shifter to turn it off and on?? the light is small but it is on that button and when turned off the light will be orange

Now I know that the switch is probably not original, and I will take it apart and check if I can put a light somewhere to have the indication.

The light should be in the same place as the light on your defroster button thats next to it.

Wow I have a 2000 GT and don't have traction control as well. Strange, I guess some do and some don't.
