I had that setup with slp catted x and they were loud at 10 in first gear. I had to swap catbacks when I swapped the IRS in.. magnaflow catback ftl, I've since had an exhaust shop weld in my spare lmII's I had under my bed.. LMII's with a catted x doesnt really get loud until about 2k rpm's whereas the lmI's are loud at 1.5k

I'd go with slp LT, catted x (o/r x w/lmI's is nasty sounding), lmI's, and a cam with a huge lobe. Or an o/r x with LMII's.

Honestly, LM1's may yeild the most hp (only by MAYBE 1hp), but to me they sound liek a bunch of tin cans being drug behind a vehicle while someone is clapping... Yeah...

This is my opinion.

Hooker Long Tubes, matching offroad X, Flowmaster 40's or Bassani. Handsdown.

If you want loud as possible....LM1's. If you want some tone...Bassani or MAC are my favorites.

well, maybe its just personal bias....and dont get me wrong, i like the way the various loudmouth catbacks sound with O/R xpipes....

but to me, with a nice set of chunky stage II cams, the undeniable ultimate mustang sound to me, is Mac Longtubes, Mac O/R Prochamber, Mac Catback. It might not be as loud as the LM's + O/R Xpipe, but believe me, it still screams....

you hear a cammed 4.6 with a prochamber coming, you dont even need to see the car....you KNOW its a mustang. some stangs with Xpipes and LMI/LMII's sound good, but dont sound as definitive if you know what i mean.

and call me crazy, but i think prochamber/mac catback sounds better on 2V's and xpipes/LM's sound better on 4V's.....
