Default flywheel bolt tighness

how tight are the flywheel bolts supposed to be? freakin, i was looking on alldata and it said it was supposed to tighten the bolts down to 40 ft lbs. and then i look at my chiltons manual and it says 65 ft. lbs. i thought alldata was trust worthy! so which on is right? because i have the flywheel on already and the clutch and the transmission back in. it would be a freakin bitch to take it out again!! btw, i used loctite on the flywheel bolts and tightened to 40 ft lbs.

damn see you guys say 64-75 ft lbs. i only put down 40 ft lbs. with loctite, do you think thatll hold down? n yeah it was tight, but do you think vibration will loosen it up?

thats the exact manual i have. thats the one that i looked in and it said about 65 ft lbs. and on alldata (which most schools and auto shops use) said it was 40 ft lbs. its seems a bit too loose though. ugh, idk.

The proper torque on these bolts is 65ft-lbs. Tighten all bolts in a star pattern to 40ft-lbs, then tighten in the same pattern to 65ft-lbs.

Yup 65ft lbs is the proper torque for the flywheel bolts. Always tighten in a star pattern.
