Default Transmission problem (maybe?)

I've tried searching these forums as well as other sites and still can't find an answer, but anyway here's my problem:

I have a 2001 5-speed mustang gt and recently I've noticed that when starting off on an incline and sometimes from a flat surface, as I start releasing the clutch and pressing the gas in 1st gear the car doesnt take off as fast as it used to. I'm not talking about racing, just normal driving. It kind of pauses for about a second or two before finally catching and the car gets going. Also, while driving if I hit the gas to try and accelerate quickly the rpm's jump high but the car doesn't seem to go anywhere for about 5-10 seconds before it finally starts to accelerate.

I'm not sure what could be causing this and I'm not an expert on diagnosing problems but I think it may be clutch related. Also, I think I need my throw out bearing needs to be replaced because I can hear a cricket like chirping sound coming from the transmission when I'm driving. Could this be related to my problem?

And get a top of the line TOB.. because stock ones wear out quickly. I'm sure some of the guys on here can snag you a link.

If you're doing this yourself, get the flywheel resurfaced. With a clutch that bad, it almost certainly needs it, and it's cheap and most shops can do it.
