you really don't wanna just mess around with the stock exhaust so much because it's not worth it. The catback in your pic (which is stock I assume) looks like in really bad shape. Just cut off the tips and then cut off yours and then weld them on.

Get a set of ramps and just back the car up into it and that should give you more than enough space to work with the tips.

that just seems like wayy to much work for just doing the tips, id just save up for the catback and do it right.

Not really, he said he had a friend who can weld.

Cut the tips off the catback you bought, cut your tips on your car, weld the other ones on. Done. Though if you just wanted tips for now, you should have gotten some SSS tips. They are like about $50 a pair and they are stainless polishes 3.5" rolled & slanted tips.
