Cobra Swap

I would if I even knew what you were attempting to post...
BTW, I'm not being a smart-a$$ but would rather see informative and good tech, rather than the ignorant BS posted by people that don't understand something.
For instance, I posted a graph attempting to strike up a good conversation on engine design but instead have posters chime in with a BS post to increase their post count.
Great tech, let's keep it coming!

If you don't understand it I can guarantee you that he would explain it. He is not here to bash people.

Actually, that thread was to strike up an actual technical conversation on here. In fact, I pm'd Cliffyk (another engineer) to join in as I enjoy discussions related to design.

Wait what?
Tripping the MIL is not the only reason you will fail the emissions test in CA.
there are so many thing about a 96-98 cobra engine tune that differ from a GT it would not run well with the GT tune. Even the injector timing differ dermaticlay at low RPM and low load.
I have the two tunes in front of me and for starters these tables are different...
Adaptive fuel table
Air Flow Multiplier in Neutral
Base fuel table (most likely because of injectors )
its goes on and on, almost every table based on air flow and fuel is different.

what does 3k RPM have to do with anything? are you making this statement based on the RPM that the IMRC's open?

Oh really, so now you know my intentions when posting? Good for you, you now have a future reading minds. I'm sure that will take you far in life!

No, it doesn't have anything to do with the IIRC. All California smoged cars are only ran up to 3k. Now, you more technical guys can explain it better i'm sure, but the agressive area of the tune is in the mid to higher RPM's not in the lower end and that is why they will pass emisions.

That's the problem (or irritation) with this site. There are only a few technical people in this section. I have read your posts and can tell you're a Type A personality, which is cool but it is normally more aggressive, ego minded and emotional. If you don't think those things apply to you, then I apologize, I could be wrong. Although, I doubt I am. Cliff is a great source on this site, and he's humble and I think a lot of people should take a lesson from him.
All I ask is, if you don't have a clue or can't comprehend what's even coming out of YOUR mouth, why even post? All it does is either spread misinformation or make the thread starter even more unsure of a particular situation.
Last thing people coming on here looking for advice want to do is start throwing parts at a car to diagnose, or install worthless mods due to bad advice.
I'm not singling you out from the crowd on purpose, but if you don't understand something, keep it to yourself or ask for help.
BTW, if you knew me personally I am far from ego-minded. I spend HOURS each week helping people locally with their vehicles for zero compensation. And most of these people are not close friends.

We each have our own personality, and if we didn't, we wouldn't be ourselves. You can judge me however you choose to, I won't change. But if you think you can read me, you are severely misunderstood.
