LOL, sounds like a plan. I really don't think the adapter plates will give you any more power. I think they are designed to prevent air and coolant leaks....which is a good thing. But as we know they are not necessary.....as far as getting more power from them.......I'm not too convinced you will see any difference. Good luck Gaspi!
RIGHT!!! My thoughts exactly! It may be that I have a defective mustang. In that case, I could argue personal injury as a result of breach of implied warranty by Ford Motors, under the Restatement of Torts (Second) section 402A, Special Liability of Seller of Product for Physical Harm to User or Consumer---

Just kidding...I am so SICK of Products Liability class--I want to quit studying and go to the beach with the top down...goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit! !goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!godda mnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!! goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddam nit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!goddamnit!!

And thanks so much for all your help, devinsteem--seriously. I'm not going to take her apart until I've bought some good PI heads. What the hell would I do with the adaptor plate then? OK...back to Greenman v. Yuba Power Products. Shoot me. Just shoot me please.

Just joined so forgive me guys.
I have the same cracked pos plastic manifold which has been leaking for awhile, In a pinch, I removed it and cleaned it around the temp sensor where the crack was, then I put an epoxy on it all the way around it. It appears that the leak is fixed until I buy a new one. But after re-installing the manifold, with new gaskets, I hear a leak and it runs like S..T. sounds like air on the back side, is this because I didnt use any rtv on the coolant passage in the back?

Why did you take out the manifold to epoxy the coolant passage? Does the crack run so far down? I suggest you take the manifold off again and place "very little" RTV around the coolant passages only. But here is the trick with these mustang manifolds:

When you retorque the manifold down, torque to one or two foot/lbs below the correct torque level. Then, wait about 5 minutes, and torque again but at the correct torque, in the proper order always, of course. Then about 10 minutes later, retorque just to make sure.

Now, if the mating surfaces were perfectly clean before you placed the manifold down, you should not have a leak. Clean your gaskets too....

Let us know how it goes?

Gaspi

And dude---the epoxy will last you a week or two---IF that. Just get a new manifold with the aluminum crossover and drilled hole for the temp sensor.
