How to tell if car is earlier or later 2001

RE: How to tell if car is earlier or later 2001
It was trial and error. The belt is supposed to have a number which is reflective of it's circumfance I believe in centimeters or something. We made a few trips to the autozone and kept buying / returning belts until we found the correct one. I just now went out to the garage and looked for numbers on the belt. Don't seen any. Must have worn off?!? Hopefully, you have a auto parts store near you with a friendly/quick return policy.

Because that doesn't work, I've seen it happen before, a 01 with build of 10/01 had pre 01's on it.
Damn I fogot his car was actually an 02 model year with pre 01 pullies stock.
Yes you check by the trannies as well.

Dang. Are there any other engine parts where the part numbers or fitment was different within the same year? Hope I don't go to order an electric h20 pump or pair of cams and get the wrong one cuz my car was made a month later or something.
