Default Cooling System Problems

I have a 1996 4.6L GT, I recently replaced the motormounts, heater core, waterpump and thermostat. I flushed the radiator before doing all of this. Now the only problem is the system keeps giving me a low coolant light, and runs hot even when in idle, even though the resevoir is full. The thermostat works because i can feel the coolant going through the upper radiator hose. Im going to check my fan when i get off work today but that shouldnt give me a low coolant light. Any suggestions would help thanks..

Im going to try and replace the coolant temperature sensor and level sensor

I would try burping the system again, you simply may just have a nasty air pocket causing you some problems.
