Default Suspension mods...........HELP!

Hey guys, I have an 02 GT with less than 40K miles. I am in the process of upgrading the suspension,(springs, dampeners,bushings,etc...) but I'm stumped with the rear set up. I use the car for both street and strip, mostly street and not sure what to do with control arms.

I used the search option and could not find useful suggestions. Please help.

Thanks.

I really like Griggs and Maximum Motorsports. But both of them are pricey, you also might look into a panhard bar and torque are setup if you are looking to do a full overhaul.

Also those are some incredibly good #'s in your sig.

Upper and lowers will improve performance for both the street and strip. On the solid rear they are almost a must to control the axle under acceleration. A good lower paired with a good adjustable shock/strut combo will give you a lot of improvement.

I currently have waiting to install, some Tokiko HP's, and BBK linears, can I get away with just replacing the upper and lower CA's, or do I have to break the bank for a Panhard Bar and install? I undestand there may be a clearance issue with my Borla tails.

As far as the numbers on the sig go, tell me about it, the dyno tuner said he has never seen those numbers before for a "bolt on" car. It's runnin lean, smells good!

You certainly don't need a panhard bar. A lot of people run aftermarket upper and lowers and they are just fine. It was just a suggestion i was throwing out there.

Also was your car modded when you got it. looks like you may have a cam.

What would be recommended for uppers, I have an idea of the lowers, but I've read that poly bushing uppers are not good, I've also read that the Ford racing uppers are esentialy the same as what comes stock on the "New Edge" platform. So what do I do?

When I bought the stang, It only had the Borla Cat Back on it. I've been dynoing it throughout all of the upgrades. The dyno tuner said he believed my cams were degreed perfectly. I don't know, but I know it pulls harder than my old lt1 Corvette did; I just need it to handle now.
