i just installed frpp 3.73 gears and YES you can fix your speedo with the sct livewire it DID work for mine ( 5 speed not an auto ).

1999+ gauges are computer controlled and can be calibrated with the tunes for gear and off size tire changes.
Mustangs that pre-date 1999 use a mechanical speedometer so the cars computer has nothing to do with control over the speed reading. A rotating cable from the transmission into the back of the speedometer. The tuners cant calibrate for gear changes on these types. You can calibrate for gear changes for these years by replacing the speedometer driver gear at the transmission end of the cable.
