I would have fun and just put a blower on. I think any manufactured system (vortech, paxton, KB, etc.) is enough to beat any regular corvette. You don't get that much power just from forging (stock or lower compression) but you lose a lot of money; money that could be used for a blower. I'd forge later but it's up to you.
