Default Suspension bits

I have a 2003gt with a little money into it I have been enjoying all summer. I would like to work on the suspension over the winter and would like to get some opinions/suggestions. Right now I have adjustable upper and lower control arms sitting in my room. I also have a set of eibach prokit springs somewhere else. I purchased the eibach springs when all I wanted was to be lower and have now changed my mind. I don't need to be doing autox with my suspension, but turning is somewhat important. I would like to do a coil over front and find a decent set of springs for the back, what are some decent suggestions. My ride height isn't priority, I am wanting suspension that will let me launch well and handle ok. Ride quality doesn't have to be the best, I can live with bumps, but I don't want it to be so horrible I can't have passengers. What are decent struts/shocks? I don't need the best, just well balanced for straight line and some corners. I know I cant have both, a car that handles extremely well, and launches like a ****, but surely there has to be a half way for both I can get.

After the first glance, I knew I wanted a watts link, and after reading into them, the torque arm is a must too. I looked into buying a set, but the price for those is more than I want to pay. I am more than capable of making both of those, looking at pictures of them, making a set shouldn't be a problem. However making them properly might be. Where can I find good info about those? Is a watts link just as simple as it looks, or does it have to be precise? The torque arm looks like it might be difficult to make properly, are proper dimensions on that critical? Is there any hit in ride quality by adding those to my car?

If your just wanting your Stang to handle better and launch good, then your going way over the top with your parts list. If you are drag racing your Stang then Lakewood 50/50 shocks in the rear, and Lakewood 70/30 or 90/10 in the front, with a set of lower control arms, and a drag radial, is a great setup. Or you could use adjustable shocks and struts so you could fine tune your suspension for street, strip, or corner carving. If you really want a TQ arm and Pan Hard bar then, yes, of course they have to be precise. Its your suspension. I really dont suggest fabbing those parts. This site explains the entire suspension in our cars in detail.

Thanks a ton for the link, its turning into a nice read. Is there a noticeable ride quality difference between stock vs watts link/torque arm, aside from driving hard, is it any better/worse? As far as making them, I have no problem with the watts link, the torque arm however worries me. Does anyone here have these on their mustang?
