I have been reluctant to get these because as someone said before. People have cooling issues and charging issues. I would much rather use the 10 hp or so, and keep the cooling system working properly than a chance of my motor overheating.

I really wouldn't worry about that. I just got my Steeda's installed and they are great. I have 2 400 watt amps running my stereo and it does fine at idle. On a hot day I turned on the AC, cranked the stereo and turned on my lights and the car idled just fine.....oh and the temp was normal. I was worried too before I got them on, but it seems to be just fine.

Yeah, classic example. Some peopel have trouble others dont. But most people seem to be fine. Cooling problems seem to be even less common. I had the problem with the amps I had at night at a stop light. But if your lights dim you can always lower the stereo until you get moving again. Dont be turned off by these drawbacks because if you experience any of them they are not a big deal.

Because by upsizing the PULLEYS (correct spelling) you will spin the accessories 25% slower than stock pulleys making for less parasitic loss thus allowing the engine to rev over quicker in turn making better HP.
To elaborate... (you actually downsize the crank pulley)

By reducing the size of your crank pulley (the DRIVE pulley), you slow down the speed of your belt. Now vice-versa, anytime you increase the size of your DRIVEN pulleys, you decrease the speed at which that accessory spins. Think of it in a bycicle example. To be in 21st gear, on a 21 speed bike, you want the chain to be on the largest pulley up front, and the smallest pulley on the rear. To be in in 1st gear you want to be on the smallest up front, and largest in the rear.
