Default wheel fittment question

Quick question,
Will a wheel with a 7.4" (187mm) backspacing and +48mm (1.9") offset fit on the rear of a 2001 mustang gt. I'm guessing no, but is there any way around this like with spacers (which would probably lead to a wheel outside of the skirt)
and does the wheel diameter effect the maximum allowable backspacing.

Reason i ask is because American Muscle offers a set of 20" bullitt wheels and they don't offer 20" by 10" for the SN95 platform

and I know many don't share my taste in rim size lol
