does it come ready to install or would i need to buy other components for it? im looking to buy a direct replacement that a shop can just bolt in...

thats a fully assembled shortblock. You need to take your stock heads and have the valve seals changed for new ones. It would be a good idea to get a valve job, put in new lifters, and have the heads milled too. You can use all the rest of your stock parts besides the head bolts. Youll need new ones. Have the engine assembled and drop it in. Its not as hard as it sounds.

yea they probably do, untill both are ported then the 4v will more than likely take the lead again. plus i the new heads will up compression and it'll be tough although not impossible to run FI. like i said though, its just a thought.

im guessing a good shop would know to do all of that and and how to do it? how much would u say all of it would cost? the engine is what, $2300?

im looking for the cheapest way to go really that would be good for no more than 400hp. i dont care what route as long as its cheap

The only thing is you can get a whole motor for the cost of those heads.
