I have always thought of 3.73's as the best gear for F/I also, but he said since I mainly run 1/8, that it wouldnt be too much. I dont know that to be true, I have never seen a comparasion or someone with 4.10's with a procharger that runs 1/8 with slicks. I think I am going to do MM full length subframe connectors while I have the car down there. Depending on if they can get everything done in one day. That way I dont have to have a car pool to the shop, which is 2 hours away.

just so you know, i have 3.73s with a vortech & intercooled gt. with a 275/40/17 tires on my 17x9 bullitts i run out of gear at 120. personally thats WAY too low. im switching to 3.55's and a taller tire (will be getting slicks). hopefully i can get it past 135

You mean in 4th at 120 your running out of gear right? It Sounds like a 4.10 is to low then, but I wont be doing 120 in the 1/8. I have wanted 3.73's since I went F/I so that is probably what I will do. Or maybe split the difference and do a 3.90. So how much am I looking for install and parts for a 31 spline setup, with gears, diff, axels? After that closer to the season I will pick up some wheels and slicks. How hard is it to launch constitantly with slicks without a two step? I mean is it as easy as doing a good smokey burn out, revving to 5k, and just dumping it or is there more to it. I think getting the rpm the same is going to be the hardest also finding the right psi for the track, because our tracks prep isnt the greatest.

He must of meant 4th, you try to stay out of 5th if you can, its not really meant for accelleration. About the 2 step, I want the MSD, just dont want to pile up money on the credit card yet.
