its funny, im pretty sure its 9/16 drill bit, the 3/8(size) isn't the diameter of hole it will make, its a little confusing, but you'll find out. Start small and slowly increase the size, remember to use machine oil to lube the drill bit. You can always go larger, can't go smaller...
Ive never heard of swapping the aluminum part wouldnt that be to much work? I have the upgraded NPI manifold and the drill bits just need a tap.
yea, just when you take the old upgraded NPI manifold off, there are three bolts underneath on each side and the crossover slides right off. that is where my intake cracked with the aluminum crossover. as you can see the NPI intake is the second one and the PI is on the bottom.
also if you look at the casting numbers on the crossovers they are both the same except for the last two letters, which are AA on the NPI and AB on the PI
It'll take more time going to the store and getting a tap than unbolting the npi crossover and putting it on the pi intake. I swaped mine and haven't had any problems.
Yeah I just went out and unbolted it off,I thought it was more complicated than that I havent really looked at it haha. The rubber gasket between the crossover and manifold looks like trash would I just need some silicone gasket maker?
