The 5.4 swap is a direct drop in, all you need is the adapter plates for the stock 4.6 intake and to widen the stock H-pipe a little. My friend and I dropped a 5.4 in his car and had it running in about 3 days with all the needed parts gathered in advance.

If you dont want to go with the adapter plates, which have had leaking problems in the past, they also make a whole manifold for it now that fits under the stock hood.

how much do the 5.4 run? i wouldnt mind just gettin a cheap 2v for around $1500 and then a used supercharger for $2000 and being done with it but im not sure if thats the best route, or if those prices are anywhere near actuality lol. im really just lookin for the cheapest route and i love the sound of superchargers, especially the kenne bell 2.1...

sounds expensive.... im not really worried about it, but what kind of gas mileage could i expect from a 5.4 putting out about 350-400hp?

around 20mpg id say...if you drive it easy

a maruader or mark motor would be pretty cheap and its a 4.6 4v.
