can a 5.4 be put in my stang?
i was wondering.. can the ford F-150 motor be put in my truck? would the lightning motor fit? they are modular so i was wondering if it had the same mounting and crap... sounds like an intresting swap...

It's a pain to fit it in there because it has a higher deck height. When they made the 2000 Cobra R, they had to use engine mounts to lower it in the bay and put a hood with a huge bubble on it. It's not impossible though. There's a guy who did it in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. When I get off work, I'll find the issue and post it for you.

Alright, finally off work. The article I was talking about is in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords September 2003 issue: "Doin' the Triton Shuffle". The guy, Joe Gullett, didn't really have much issue getting the motor in the car other than the hood. It didn't make as much power as he expected because the truck intake he ended up using had some restrictions, but it turned out 299rwhp @ 5000rpm and 358rwtq @ 4000rpm. Cool thought.
