You should clear with the bolts.

Many IRS Cobras run a 17"x10.5" wheel with this bolt and are fine. This wheel is, in theory, 1/4" wider in each direction, so may need to install a 1/4" spacer. If so, you will be best served to roll the fenders a bit.

This bolt issue occured to me last night and was going to post it this morning and found you had already purchased them. Some have ground down this bolt head, but think this is a bad idea. Again, do a search in the SVT section and will come up with lots of info on this bolt and how to address it.

EDIT: ***HERE*** is a link to Timmmmaaaaaaaaa's install.

Sweet Man , I just ordered them, They should be here by the time I get back from my trip, Bolt the wheels on and stare at them till the motor gets dropped in, Then wait 3 weeks till I can hit the dyno.............. I am so excited for like 2 months from now haha

I would like to say I am sorry for not rembering this clearance issue prior to today
I pride myself on passing on good info in a timely manor so as to avoid this type of issue. I see the wheels fitting, but just require more work than I had anticipated.

Somehow I knew I was missing something as indicated in my first post with the 18" wheel question and "things that make me go hmmmmmm"

As to rear axle swap, I take it this is what you are considering? Most that really get into high HP and go hardcore on suspension for corners, go to SRA on the IRS Cobras. The IRS was designed to "fit" onto an SRA Stang and therefore was done somewhat on the cheap, I am told. I hear it is a very nice ride and that makes some sense. If you are happy with it, that is all that counts.

Jazzer hopes it all works out OK and will offer any assistance he can

Well I am considering doing the swap, I am not doing the twistys I am going straight! Yes the IRS Is a great ride but betwen the wheel hop and limitations the IRS has I think for my scenerio the SRA is the way to go!

And dont worry about the Info, I see people refer to you all the time on the site so I am sure that you do try your best to be correct!
Thanks again

If and when you do the swap to SRA, PM me!

I can give you LOTS of good info on how to address the 4-link suspension on the SRA as it has problems of its own. They can be addressed for a wonderful launching/handling ride.
