1999 gt clutch

My car has 34k miles and I just bought it, its 100% bone stock and everything is original including the clutch....The clutch grabs high, is it normal for a stock clutch?

in 99 and 00 yes that is normal. Half of the clutch pedal travel was dead space/useless. In 01 or 02 that changed.
