Default wierd noise from rear end ? help please

There is a really low noise that seems to be coming from the rear end like a whomp whomp whomp and the faster i drive the faster it does it. my mom keeps saying the rear diff. we took it in and had the rear end rebuilt (they said it needed it anyways the fluid was nasty and what not i wasnt there) but it still does it. any ideas?

did they have no explanation for the noise when you took it in. A friend of mine had that same noise and needed a whole new rear end. His was trashed. I would bring it back to where you had the work done and tell them they did not solve the problem.

i cant recall i didnt exaclty own the car (this was about 2 weeks ago my mom had it done) so i wasnt there to take it in i know they told her it needed a new rear end and these guys specialize in mustangs and **** with the price she paid she could have had everything upgraded i told her.

im going to take it back should be under a warranty and tell them it is not fixed.
i also though it might be the driveshaft (maybe go for an aluminum one) itd be nice to have a reason for a new one.

as for the rotors i didnt think about that but like i said it gets faster the more i accelerate would they do that?

lets hope they are as good as you say. It sucks when mechanics take you in circles replacing things, guessing whats wrong and in the end spending more than you should have. I am going through that right now with a damn belt/pulley squeak. I have replaced everything except the engine it seems.

Could it be a wheel bearing?

okay i found out that they replaced the whole rear end and replaced the rotors as well.
the guy at the shop said it was the most likely the wheel bearings. and he says it is a normal noise on these cars

found this out talking to my dad.
