Default Wheel Spacers (Pros and Cons)

I am currently running 18X10 on a 285/35/18 tire (rear). I was thinking about bringing the tire out just a little and was told to buy wheel spacers. Has any one ran or is currently running spacers? If so any issues? What spacer do you guys reccomend I run (I inch, 1.25, or 2 inch)? Thanks guys!

spacers are an iffy subject. Nothing more than .5" on a DD/weekend racer if you have sticky tires. Make sure you have NHRA approved length lugs. If you need to go any larger than that it's your funeral if something goes wrong but you would be stupid to not run hubcentric spacers at that size.

I'm with sexy man above.

I run 1/2" spacers and have replaced my studs with longer/stronger Moroso ones. I now have a full 1" of threads in each lug-nut. I am not a fan of the type with a second set of studs built-in to them.

i've had h&r hubcentric spacers on for about 3 years (1 in. i think) with no problems. i check the torque every time i rotate the tires and they've never been loose.
