My drivers side window decided that it did not want to go up today so I pulled the door panel off and tapped the motor with a hammer and it worked, so who knows how long thats going to last, putting the door panel back on took me 45 mins, it was a biatch
i can have that door panel off and back on in under five minutes. I bet you will cut your time WAY down the next time you try it, now that you are familiar with how it attaches.

The hood has all kinds of adjustments. From the latch to the hinges.

The window motors go on our cars because the windows are too big and they use a generic Ford actuator that is not designed for glass that big.

My hood is the same way. One very cold winter day i had to get the stang out to pick up parts for the beater escort and i popped the hood to check everything and then i went to shut it and it would not shut. I dropped it like 20 times and it wouldnt shut, i had to get oil out and put oil all over the latch and then it shut. I dunno if it had to do w/ it being so cold, but that is the only time that happend.

I have a friend who has power window issues with his Chevy S10 every once in awhile. When it happens he takes the door panel off and taps the electric motor with a hammer and it works for a few more months. He said something about tapping the motor cleans the brushes?

i have a problem with mine where the passenger side window goes down but not back up...from the drivers side. If i go to the passengers side window button the window goes up fine. I think something in that door has a date with a hammer soon.

The only yhring that was in the way was the top door speaker, i tried to take it out but could not figure it out, if that was off it would have going on in 10 sec

My two windows roll up and down at a different pace, not a big deal, just annoying. Anyone else's do this?
