gears question
i am still kind of new here on this forum, but here's my story: i bought a 03 gt with lots of aftermarket parts, so i dont know what the previous owner did because i bought it at a local dealership (and they dont know s*** lol). my question: is there a way to know if the previous owner installed gears? if its aftermarket, 1st gear should be really short right? whats the speed on 1st gear redline on a stock 4.6L 5 spd? thanks guys for the help

You can also try the Axle Ratio Calculator in the upper right corner--it's experimental and uses fuzzy math, but it's pretty accurate.
With the OEM 3.27 final drive gears you should around 73 MPH at 2k RPM in 5th.
