what year x pipe do i need!!!

Exclamation what year x pipe do i need!!!

i have a 1997 mustang gt, with a 2002 gt motor i never asked what year the h pipe was...
i have bbk headers on right now that hooked up no problem to my h pipe..
i have the borla rx1 exhust which i think were for my 1997 year..
will i need to buy a the exhust for my car year or my motor year???
are the sensor positions different????
please help i have my smog test coming up and i need to replace my blown cats with a new catted x pipe...

i know the exhust really didn';t change from the 90's to 2000's but i just dont want to buy a 400 $ part and it not fit... please any advice will be great...

Well if you have an 02' engine, with presumably all 02' parts, then a 99-04 mid pipe will work.

but will the 99-04 mid pipe hook up to the 1997 exhaust end of it???

thanks, you guys were right.. i went to my tech and he told me the exhaust didn't change much from the 97 to 2002 the only thing was the pi heads and intake.. so imma go with 99-04 parts... thanks agian i've been stressing this because of the smog test... lol..
