i have a 2000 5 spd gt, and when i turn my air on, no matter if it is on hi or low, my car starts to "buck" while driving. the higher the rpms the worse it gets. and one day it started doing it so bad it would make my car bog down where i could barely start in 1st gear without stalling out. has anyone ever heard of anything like this before, or anyone what the problem could be?

My first guess would be a bad compressor, but not sure.

 

I have the same problem. Asked a couple of the mechanics I work with and they said it's more than likely a bad IAC but I haven't had a chance o get ahold of a different one...so I use the a/c on the highway and try to ignore the surging, then put the windows down in the city lol. If I find out, I'll let you know what the problem is
