Default camshaft positioning sensor

For some reason the camshaft positioning sensor in my 03 mustang gt keeps triggering the check engine light. I have replaced the sensor, which got rid of the check engine light for about 200 miles, and now it keeps coming back. I cleaned the sensor, and the hole in which the senor goes in to, and got about a day out of it, before the check engine light went back on. I am out of ideas i know the senor is good because it is brand new.
any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

How many miles on your car?

EFI/RFI from the alternator has been known to make the cam sensor seem to be flakey...

the car has 73,000 miles.

Ya it deff is a pain in the ***. I hope i do not have to end up replacing to much.

Is their any kind of problem that can occur from driving continiously with this sensor acting up? I ask because the car did stall out on me the other day.

Get your alternator tested. 90% of the time the alternator causes that code.

only problem with the code is the stalling out and the car may not start up on the first try.
