You talking daily driving, or all out ***** to the wall? For daily driving I shift around 2500-3000 RPM. For ***** to the wall, I shift at 5500RPM.

on npi GTs power stops at about 5000, and as far as i know on pi GTs you feel a big push from 5000 to 6000

Maxium horsepower for a PI mustang with full boltons is generally around 5500 (longtubes will push the powerband up slightly). So typically you want to shift 200-300 rpm above peak power. So about 5700-5800.

Shift points can have an enormous impact on quarter-mile times. The difference between my educated shift points and shifting at the 7200rpm limiter on my MkV GTI was a 13.5@104 vs 13.9@99/100.
