1998 GT Mustang Coil Springs on a 2003 GT Mustang?
Does anyone know if the 1998 GT Mustang coil springs front and rear will work on a 2003 GT Mustang? A few years back, my son installed lowering springs front and back on his 2003 GT Mustang. Now, he wants to re-install the factory stock springs. Unfortunately the shop that did the job back then, did not give him back any of the stock spring assembly and strut items that were removed. So, now we are piece mealing the stock spring assembly pieces as well as the strut assembly pieces. I purchased springs for a 1998 GT Mustang. The seller said it would work for me, now, I'm not so sure. The reason for that is because the part numbers are different. Has anyone done this type of change out? Will the 1998 springs work for us, and what if anything will it do to the ride? Does anyone have pictures of the spring assembly items needed, and pictures of the strut assembly items needed. The 1st picture below is of the 1998 strut mouting plate assembly I purchased shown inserted on a new 2003 GT Mustang strut. Is anything missing. I think the dust boot is missing, correct? Anything else? The second picture is of the same 1998 GT Mustang strut mounting plate with a better view. Will this strut mounting plate bolt to our 2003 Strut Tower? Does it have the same bolt pattern? Any support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tommy.

I just found another box with springs!
Well, I just found another box way in the back of my storage shack with more springs and related parts. It's been so long ago, that I forgot all about it. This set is for a 2003 GT Mustang. I now remember I purchased two sets of springs and related parts. Included in this 2003 set is the plate shown below. I have two of these plates as well. It looks like these plates sits on top of the strut towers. I tried fitting them up with the strut mounting plates, and it's a perfect fit. So, if anything, I think I only need to order the rubber strut boots. Not sure if they re-used them when they installed the after market camber/caster kit. All the spring isolators are accounted for as well. Ok, that is good news. I'll keep you posted of my progress. Thanks for your support, Tommy.
