Quick question... Would you run a 10 PSI supercharger with no tune?

Default RE: 100 SHOT?

with a 75 shot you might be able to get away without adjusting the timing, anything bigger, and you definetely need to. if you install the kit correctly, and keep in mind that nitrous is very much like any other form of forced induction, you should be safe.

nitrous is so effective (and i may be a little off here, i'm pulling this from memory) because each cubic foot of nitrous oxide has, on average, 2.3 times the amount of oxygen than that of the atmosphere running through our throttle bodies normally. when ignited, nitrous also has a slight cooling effect, which makes the air that much more dense (think intercooler... sorta)

if you were going to push more than twice the amount of air into your engine via supercharger or turbocharger, you'd sure as hell have to make some adjustments, nitrous is no different

a good rule of thumb i've seen here or there is that it's usually safe to squeeze 20 horse worth of nitrous into your motor per cylinder... however i've yet to develope the ***** to jet mine to 160 hehe
