I have a 98 automatic mustang gt and i want to swap the tranny...
This is what i think i will need, anybody thats done it let me know what else i need to do... Parts- manual tranny from donor, brake&clutch pedals assembly, clutch cable, bell housing from 5 speed donor, shifter and shift ****, also the interoir peices where shifter is in car, and ecm from donor? other question, will the wiring for the speedo plug right into the stanard tranny or will i have to change that also? other question will i have to change the cluster or does it matter? thanks for any help...

You will have more work than I did with my T-56 swap, but may give you some ideas as to what is involved.

Somebody recently did a thread on an auto to manual swap, its looked very complicated and looks like a ton of work. I wanted to do the swap with my 98 gt too but now am definitely leaning to building the auto. Its set from the factory to take 700 hp so throw on a valve body and TC and your set.
