You can safely increase your timing 3 degrees over the stock tune and run 93. I never really explored those limits before I supercharged mine but...
I increased global spark by 3 degrees and got pinging at 3k sitting in neutral lightly bringing the revs up to test before driving. That went away with 93 and I ran it +3 degrees with no problems.
In fact, I still run it at +3 with the supercharger on there. The small change added some nice throttle response, I could feel a tangible difference. Of course, I've got timing taken out as boost increases.
Point being, if the tuner allows you to adjust spark timing when not at WOT, feel free to add 3 degrees for 93 octane (or maybe even more) to the whole scale - it takes very well to it.
