To cut, or not to cut that is the question.

To cut, or not to cut that is the question.
I'm going to get Eibach Pro-Kit springs (1.5in drop all around). But I want it to be lower in front. I know I can cut the front springs, but is cutting them bad for the car?

Why dont you just get the H&R Sports. I have them, they drop it 1.5 in the rear and 1.6 in the front. No cutting, and you get the badass raked look.

By the way I love the pic you have in your sig. How did you do that?

Dude - I have a set of cut Eibach Pro-kits that I will sell you cheap. It made my car looks so badass. Here is what happened:
I wanted my car lower with a tiny bit of rake just like you. I installed them on 1/25/05 with 18,000 miles on my car. It looked great. But I kept hearing noises, bumping sounds and was p!ssed thinking that there was something wrong with the springs or they were just too low. But it makes the GT look so long and NASCAR like. It was great. So anyway, I orded the Eibach Sportlines fearing that my other springs were bad. Well, on 4/05 with 19,000 miles on my GT, I put the new Sportlines on. Guess what, still heard the bumping noises. Started crawling around under the car and doing serious inpections jacked up. It was the Magnaflow catback hitting my rear sway bar and plastic gas tank shell. It took a little adjusting and I got rid of that problem. So there was nothing wrong with my cut Eibach pro-kits!
So now I am running on my Sportlines and have the cut Pro-kits just sitting in the box on the garage shelf waiting for somebody who wants to experiment with them. These are for you if you want a very very firm ride and zero wheel gap and a one of a kind agressive rake look (not too raked, like you have 1970's air shocks or something).
Send me a PM if you are interested.
