Default TECH: Drag radials? BFG/Nitto/MT ET

What street legal sticky tire do you prefer?

What sizes can you fit on a 17x8 or a 17x9, 18x9 & 18x10's?

Dry & wet weather performance?

Prices?

How many miles did they last?

I've used both Nitto's & BFG's and in my experience with both compounds, my BFG's wore within 10,000 miles but they were much much stickier and required no burn out, just a quick spin to clean them off and they hooked HARD. Now with my Nitto's, with a good roast they hooked decent, but nothing like my BFG's hooked.

On wet roads I couldn't tell a difference, although I never really pushed my car at all in the rain. I only got about 9500 miles out of my BFG's (countless runs at the track) and roughly 15,000 out of the Nitto's.

I paid about $140 a piece for the BFG's and about $165 for Nitto's.

I have BFG's right now but will switch to M/T when they wear out. The BFG's were fine IMO in the rain, bad in the cold weather, traction is very good and they are holding up pretty good with alittle over 2000 miles and three trips to the track.

ive got the mickey thompson et street radials on my 99 cobra (17x9 rims) ive had them almost 4000 miles, and they are still pretty good on tread (i havent ever done a burn out with them...probably why) this is my first really sticky type of tire, but i must say, i dont see how it can get much better (on a dry surface) wit my car, my perfect launch is at around 2800 rpm. i can rev it up there, launch it and get ZERO spin and a perfect takeoff with no or very minima bog. you SHOULD be able to heat them up and launch it higher than that, but with my cobra's IRS, i dont want to take that risk. Rain...thats a different story. depending on the actualy amount of water the tires have to sheet away, it can get pretty bad. if it is raining and there is a thin layer of water, i can easily start to fishtale while accelerating at 30 mpph in 4th. once, i lost it out of nowhere around a slightly curved road (alone, no other cars) and ended up doing a 180. now im fully usd to it, you just have to be EXTRA carfeul (in south florida, we had rain for 3 straight weeks so i got a lot practice at it) but in the dry, i dont think any other tire could compare. Next i'll probably go with the nitto 555r's, i need something a little better in water, and with a higher life expectancy. From what i heard, my MT's should be done already. but overall, i'd give them an A

I have the MT street radials and I love them! I tried to launch at 3000rpm and it still bogs the motor out. I'm kind of afraid to launch any higher than that, I don't want the car to jump off the frame!

I have the M/T street radials and they work good with no burn out. Traction is pretty good.
